April Events

We are doing a food drive throughout the whole month of April.
Each donation of food gets you a free book or $1 off of fines. *You can only get 1 book or $1 off a week*

Scholastic Book Fair Thursday, April 7-Saturday April 9th 8 am-7 pm

Teen Movie Night – The Hunger Games Mocking: Jay Part 2 April 7 at 6 pm
Family Movie Night – The Peanuts Movie at 7 pm

National Library Week April 10th-16th

Story Time April 28 at 6 pm

Author Talk April 29 at 5 pm Meet CeCelia Zora author of Angels Don’t Get Tattoos, A novel inspired by a patient early in her nursing career. The book is about Kennedy who is an edgy 16-year-old with end-stage cancer, a leg amputation, and a lily tattoo. She expects to die peacefully in her family’s home in a burly, well-worn Madison, WI neighborhood. Instead, K collides with family, friends, societal isolation , her aching heart, and a brutal secret from the past.

Food Drive

Food for finesAbbotsford Public Library Food Drive
Throughout the month of April, the Abbotsford Library will be collecting donations for the Trinity Food Pantry in Unity. The Pantry serves 109 families in the Abby, Colby, and Unity area. If you bring non-perishable items in during the month of April, you will receive a free children’s book or $1 off of your library fines!
The pantry is in specific need of canned tuna or chicken, noodles, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, cereal, canned fruit, soups, any Chef-boy-ardee foods, Mac-N-Cheese, pancake mixes, syrup, flour, sugar, toilet paper, and any bathroom or laundry products. Please bring donations to the Abbotsford Public Library during our open hours to receive your book. Multiple donations are welcomed, however, you can only receive one book or $1 off your library card per week. The library is open 10-8 Monday through Thursday, 10-5 Friday and 10-2 on Saturday. You could also bring your items to the library’s April Movie Nights. The Teen Movie Night is Thursday April 7th at 6:00 pm and our Family Movie Night is Friday April 8th at 7:00 PM.
